All of our workshops emphasize the importance of the creative reuse of materials. Workshops are designed to inspire participants to create art that reflects a commitment to environmentally sustainable behavior. In each class, participants will have the opportunity to utilize materials from SCRAP’s vast and eclectic inventory of supplies.

Creative Collage with Sally Wassink
Saturday, September 21 from 12 am to 3:00 pm
All skill levels are welcome from beginners to experienced collagists, ages 12 years old and up.
In this 3-hour workshop we will:
-View artwork by other collage artists
-Cover some basics about composition
-Talk about techniques & papers
-Share tips about tools, such as adhesives
-Save some time at the end of the workshop to view each others work & share experiences
Students will be given some time at the beginning of the workshop to pull from SCRAP's multitude of paper resources to use in their artwork. The goal is to go home with a few (or a lot!) of finished pieces. If you have particular imagery in mind, please bring it with you as well!
Students should bring with them:
-a good pair of scissors (optional)
-your own images/paper (also optional)
Glue sticks will be provided by the instructor, but if you have a favorite, bring it along!
All artwork by Sally Wassink.
