INTRODUCTION TO SCOUTING
The Introduction to Scouting needs to be completed when you join the Scouting Movement for the first time or if you join Scouting again after having a break.
Your leader and Patrol will introduce you to The World Organisation, Scouting in Australia and your Scout Group.
You will learn about why Scouting is special, what the SPICES are, what is Personal Progression.
You will be introduced to the Australian Scout Promise and Law, the Scout Symbols, Traditions and Ceremonies as well as Plan>Do>Review>
When you have finished your “Introduction to Scouting”, you will be invested into the Unit in a special ceremony. This is your formal welcome. It marks the beginning of your Scouting journey. You will be given the World Scout badge, the Australian Scout Flag badge, the ACT Scout badge and your Group Tape at your ceremony.
