The major emphasis of the ThinkBig program is on heavy equipment engines, with a minor focus on marine propulsion systems and power generator repair theory and practical application. Upon completion of the program you will receive The Heavy Equipment Dealers Service Technology Associate Degree.
The ThinkBIG scholarship program is a two-year program and is outlined fully on our website, and includes:

After you are enrolled into the program, Thompson covers the cost of tuition, books, lab fees and graduation fees for the full two years of the course of study. Path to Pro Scholarship
The Home Depot Foundation Path to Pro Scholarship applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Be a high school senior, high school graduate or have a GED equivalent.
Plan to enroll, or be enrolled, in an approved trade-related program at an accredited two-year school (technical/vocational school or college) in the United States.
Not be an employee or dependent of an employee of the The Home Depot. Employees of The Home Depot and their dependents are eligible to apply for a scholarship from The Homer Fund.
Programs of Study: Carpentry, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing or another building-related field.

The Order of the Eastern Star of Alabama
The Susan Curry Memorial Scholarship Program was formed to provide financial assistance to university, college, or technical school students. The Order of the Eastern Star of Alabama Susan Curry Memorial Scholarship Program is for all eligible students now attending or moving into post-secondary education, technical or occupational training. $5,000 scholarship
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Some National Scholarships require demonstrated financial need, which means the cost of attendance exceeds the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as found on the FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR). The 2025 Distinguished Leader Scholarship of $10,000 per year for a period of 4 years (totaling $40,000) is provided to one graduating senior from our LEAD educational partner districts. The student must enroll at UNA during the fall semester following their high school graduation.
The student must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 and enroll in a minimum of 27 credit hours per academic year to remain eligible for the scholarship. This scholarship is not stackable with any other university scholarship.
All students who plan on attending UNA need to apply. Preference will be given to a student who plans on majoring in education. Once applied at the below link, supplemental directions will be given by Scottsboro High School.
