Cd117 Gene

The Cd117 gene controls differentiation or specialization of blood cells. As the cell becomes more specialized, less and less Cd117 is expressed.

Cross off one check mark from your Gene Expression Chart.

Everyone’s cell is a little more specialized than it was at the beginning when you were an HPSC. Since all cell have differentiated at least a little, Cd117 is now expressed a little less.

Remove two pushpins from your cell.

(recall that pushpins represented Cd117 expression)
