Greetings, Menlo students!📚
Learning is something we always do throughout our lives, whether it's when we are young and in elementary school, or when we enter adulthood and go to college. But do you know what is the most effective way to study?
A study says that the human attention span only lasts the longest in the range of 40-45 minutes. So, the most effective way of studying is a way of learning that can maximize your study time for those 45 minutes. One of the learning methods that utilize this knowledge is 🍅the pomodoro technique🍅
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that allows a person to maximize their attention span, but on the other hand it also provides time for short breaks so as not to overload your brain. This technique is especially suitable for those of you who are easily distracted and have tasks that don't have a set completion time (like studying for the mid examination that you guys will do next week💪).
This technique starts with you deciding what tasks you want to work on and how many Pomodoro sessions you need. One pomodoro session consists of 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of rest. After every 4 Pomodoro sessions, you can take a longer rest.
Pomodoro is one of the many learning methods that exist and are proven to be effective, but there is still the possibility that this method may not be suitable for your way of learning. So please explore the most comfortable learning method for you, but keep in mind that the maximum human attention span is in the range of 45 minutes, don't force your brain condition and instead make the study session ineffective.
That is all for the article today and have a great mid examination guys, break a leg!🦵
