How Do Guardians Access Connect for the First Time?
Joining Your School's Account
With SchoolStatus Connect, there is no reason for guardians to create an account or to use a join code.
Instead, guardian accounts are automatically created when they are uploaded to the school directories (either manually by the school leader, or via data roster sync.)
Upon signing in for the first time, users will be prompted to create a password and select their language preference as shown here.
Connecting From an Email or Text
When you begin sending announcements from Connect, guardians will receive them via email and/or text. When recipients click on the button within an email, or the link within the text, they will be automatically redirected to Connect on the web and prompted to complete their profile by creating a password and selecting a language preference.
Signing In on the Web or Mobile App
Users can visit www.schoolstatus.com/login and choose Connect to sign in at any time on the web. Or users may choose to sign in on the mobile app.
From the sign in page, users can choose a single sign-on method if applicable, or enter their email or mobile phone number and click "Continue."
If a user has forgotten how to login, they may choose "Forgot Password" after clicking "Continue."
NO NEED FOR A JOIN CODE
If guardians are asking for a join code, they are likely in the wrong place. Please direct them to use one of the methods above to SIGN IN.
If they are not able to sign in, you will need to confirm that the email address in Connect is the same email address they are using to sign in.
How Can Guardians Update Their Settings and Preferences?
Guardians must sign in to their Connect account (see steps above) in order to update their preferences. By updating their Connect preferences, guardians can ensure they receive your communications in their preferred language and channels.

Choose from Email, SMS, or App Notifications (Email is the default.)
NOTE: SMS users will need to confirm their number first.
Turn notifications on and off based on content types.
