Flower of the Year

The flower of the year of 2024 is the Peony. The reason why the peony became really popular this year and became the flower of the year is because of its beauty and it being a limited flower. Most gardeners have it in their garden because of how lovely it is. They are beautiful in bouquets, gardens, and especially in weddings. One thing about it, it blooms in very short spaces each year and is native to Asia, Europe, and Western North America. Peonies represent “prosperity, wealth, and honor,” it also “emblems of happy marriage.” It is also considered good luck. In China and Japan, it mostly symbolizes wealth, honor, and fortune. When planting peonies, it takes time, patience and proper care. There's so many interesting facts about it like; the scientific name of it is Paeonia and the flower is rooted in Greek Mythology. It’s rooted from Greek mythology because of the healer of the gods.
