Young Republicans: The Telegram Chats That Exposed a Federation 

As of October 2025, a telegram group chat leak of the Young Republicans Federation has surfaced, which has revealed many things that have been occurring out of sight. The Young Republicans are members of the Republican party, mainly consisting of members within the age range of 18 to 40 years old. The discussions that were talked about in the group chat mainly consisted of homophobic, racist and anti-sematic opinions which were mainly negative. 

The Young Republic National Federation or commonly known as the YRNF is a 527 political U.S. tax-exempt organization organized under Section 527 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. A 527 group is created primarily to influence the selection, nomination, election, appointment or defeat of candidates to federal, state or local public office. 

The chat discussed how they were to torture their political enemies in various ways. Mainly discussing upon physical torture, such as putting them in a gas chamber and the use of physiological torture. Other topics were brought up such as racism and anti-semitism, some discussions focused on profiling black people with various stereotypes.

These actions that the Young Republicans displayed were to be associated with the endorsement of Donald Trump, mainly as a result of the 2024 election campaign which talked about immigrants within the country and using various racial stereotypes for them.

After POLITICO’S Exposé the members of this telegram group faced severe consequences such as Peter Giunta, the former chair, who ended up losing his position and job while other members faced forced resignation, political fallout, disbandment, infighting, etc.
