The Downfall of Mr. Beast

The YouTubers creator community is no stranger to controversy and drama, but no one was expecting the next big controversy to be between Rosanna Pansino and MrBeast. Both content creators have been on the platform for many years. Rosanna, known as ‘Nerdy Nummies' started off in 2009 making baking videos based on trending topics and video games. MrBeast ( Jimmy Donaldson) started in 2012 known as an average gaming YouTuber. Now, you may be wondering, how does a gaming YouTuber end up in drama with a baker YouTuber?

    In October of 2024, Rosanna Pansino came out with a video titled ‘MrBeast KNEW All Along…(1,000+ Leaked Messages)’. This video showed many inappropriate messages in a work chat between MrBeast and former employees, such as Kris Ava Tyson, talking about multiple sensitive topics such as SA, child pornography, and cannibalism. Kris was already involved in predatory behaviors, however MrBeast denied knowing this about Kris and even expressed how shocked he was by this information. Fans will definitely find it shocking when they see MrBeast knew all along, and was even participating in this behavior. 

   Throughout the video, Rosanna shows multiple messages sent in work chats that she verified with previous employees where Kris and MrBeast sent disturbing messages and pictures. When asking students “Do you believe that the allegations are actually true?”, 12th grader Claysiry said “I completely believe it’s true because first off he has a lot of money, so he can do stuff that normal people can’t do. Secondly I’m pretty sure his best friend Kris was in a controversy over having questionable stuff, so about the child pornography, I believe that too.” This topic also sparked another question, “Do you believe his image was too good to be true?” where 12th grader Fryda stated “I think his image was too good to be true because it’s just this guy who has a lot of money and gives it out to make it seem like he’s this great guy, and I don’t think he’s actually been doing all that. I believe it’s all a persona he puts on.” 

   Ever since Rosanna Pansino uploaded her video, she had gained relevance which started to raise the question “Is Rosanna doing this for views or to bring awareness?” When asking students, Malachi Passely said “I feel like it’s a little bit of both. She’s probably seeing the numbers that her videos are getting talking about MrBeast, but also at first she wanted to do it to bring justice, but it gets to a point where it’s getting repetitive and feels like she’s doing it for clout.” Rosanna has sent these leaked messages to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and he is currently under investigation. Do you think this will be the end of MrBeast, or will this be another controversy that gets swept away?
