The ICE Dilemma: Protection or Persecution?

The whole ICE situation stems from one big problem with the U.S. and that is the fact that we have a poor immigration system. ICE, short for Immigration and Customs Enforcements, are deporting illegal immigrants in the U.S. now more than ever. Some people view ICE as protecting the interests of American citizens, and some view it as a raid on illegal immigrants and an injustice. 

On one hand, some of the actions of ICE can be classified as immoral. Many people who are being deported have already built their lives here in the U.S., whether that be a family or business. They have people and communities that depend on them and taking away what they have built feels inhumane. This raises the question if the action of ICE is being carried out in a humane and compassionate way. Most of the people being deported are contributing to society, pay taxes, and are law abiding people, which makes me feel that they shouldn't do this to them. 

There's another part of it that makes me feel like they could carry out these actions in a better way. Some people believe that the illegal immigrants are overcrowding the U.S. and making it feel overpopulated. They contribute to the crimes in the country and are making it a more unsafe place than it already is. Overall, both sides are justified and both sides are making their point that illegal immigrants need to be dealt with.
