There’s never a dull moment with Ms. Mashriqi, whose humor and creativity make her classroom feel lively and welcoming. If fictional characters could join her class, she imagines Natsu Dragneel as the student who excels and Happy as the one who always gets into trouble. If she could ever switch roles with a student for a day, she says she’d get them in unnecessary trouble and not think twice about the outcome, a perfect reflection of her playful personality. Her proudest moments come when a student truly understands and applies what she’s taught. Those small victories are what keep her motivated.
Ms. Mashriqi describes her personality as the color “silver,” unpredictable and mysterious, much like her teaching style. Her motto, “You only get to live once, YOLO,” perfectly sums up her outlook on life. She says her students would probably be surprised to learn her real age, something she keeps a mystery. If her life were a book, she says it would be titled Stuck Between Two Worlds, a name that reflects her thoughtful yet spontaneous nature.
When she’s not teaching, her creativity shines through her love for art. If she weren’t a teacher, she’d be an artist or interior designer, drawn to anything that lets her imagination flow. She would tell her younger self to enjoy life in a healthy and content way, to eat good food, watch anime and K-dramas, and keep reading roman-tasy books. She also dreams of traveling with her close friends, a goal that’s stayed with her since childhood.
Whether she’s in the classroom or exploring her hobbies, Ms. Mashriqi carries her humor, curiosity, and creativity wherever she goes. If she ever had a completely free day, she already knows how she’d spend it: simply by spending money, no questions asked. Her mix of fun, wisdom, and imagination makes her the kind of teacher students never forget.
