The First AI Actor: Tilly Norwood

Tilly Norwood is an artificial intelligence (AI) - generated actor created in 2025 by Xicoia, the AI division of the production company Particle6 group. An Instagram account under Norwood’s name with a post dating back to the 6th of May 2025 has gained 50,000 followers by October 3rd which featured AI-generated modelling shots, selfies, and epic film scenes.  In July 2025, Eline Van der Velde, a comedian and writer, stated that she intended Norwood to be the next Scarlett Johansson, the famous American actress known for playing black widow, or Natalie Portman, known for her role in Black Swan.  Kiersey Clemons, known for her role in am i ok  , and Natasha Lyonne, known for her role in Orange is the New Black, insisted on boycotting any agency who signed Norwood, stating that this is “deeply misguided and totally disturbed.” Mara Wilson, an American actress known for her role in  Matilda, and Bronson Pinchot, an American actor who became a household name for his role as Balika Bartokuomus, worried that Norwood could take their jobs. Emily Blunt described Norwood as really scary, while Sophie Turner, Toni Colette- An Australian actress known for her popular role in Hereditary  , Ralph Ineson and Ariel Winter also expressed disapproval. Various actors have publicly expressed their disapproval of Norwood,  The American Union SAG-AFTRA, The American union labor of union represents professional actors broadcast journalist actors and other professionals have stated that they did not consider Norwood an actress and the Gersh Agency and WME( William Morris Endover, global talent and media agency)  both announced that they would not sign Norwood.
