Studio Ghibli was founded in 1985 by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, along with producer Toshio Suzuki. The studio was created after the success of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, a film that proved animation could tell deep, emotional stories rather than just simple entertainment.

From the very beginning, Studio Ghibli focused on creating films that were meaningful, artistic, and different from typical cartoons. Instead of rushing production, the studio took its time to carefully craft each movie, paying close attention to both story and detail. Over the years, this dedication helped Ghibli gain worldwide recognition, and it is now considered one of the most respected animation studios, known for its powerful storytelling and stunning visual beauty.
