Nicki Minaj is an Trinidadian-American rapper, singer, and full-on pop culture force. She broke through with Pink Friday (2010), which basically rewrote the rules for women in mainstream rap. Although Nicki Minaj is known to be the queen of rap, lately she has been facing a lot of backlash due to her new collaboration with President Donald J Trump. There have been a lot of rumors about her agenda behind the reason for her collaboration. Some say it's because she tried to outsmart the petition to deport her, but others say that she is trying to help her husband to get his record cleared. Due to this, Nick Minaj has lost a lot of followers, but the thing is, does she even really care? People say that she used hip-pop black culture to build a name and a comfortable living for her and her family and is now turning around and using the success to support the president and her own personal interests. Nicki Minaj has always been known for speaking her mind and not being afraid of controversy. Throughout her career, she has built her brand on confidence, independence, and challenging expectations placed on women in the music industry. Because of this, many fans believe her recent actions are simply another example of her exercising her freedom of speech. However, others argue that celebrities have influence and responsibility, especially when their words or actions affect millions of fans. This situation raises a bigger question about whether public figures should separate their personal beliefs from their public image.
