Tuesday, October 1, 2024: High School Application, LaGuardia Application, and Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) Registration Opens

Friday, October 18, 2024: SHSAT Registration Closes

Wednesday, October 30, 2024: SHSAT School Day Testing

Sat / Sun, November 16-17, 2024: SHSAT Testing (8th grade students not participating in school day testing)

Wednesday, December 4, 2024: High School Application Closes

Sat / Sun, December 7-8, 2024: SHSAT Testing (9th grade students)

Thursday, March 6, 2025: High School Offer Release

Types of Admissions Methods:

Educational Option Programs- maintain a student body of one-third with the highest reading levels, one-third with middle-range reading levels and one-third with low reading levels.

Open Programs- All students that apply are randomly selected for seats in the program.

Zoned Programs- Zoned programs give priority to students that apply and live in the school's zone.

Screened Programs- Screened programs admit top-performing students based on the average of their final grade seven English, Math, Science, and Social Studies grades.

Audition Programs- Audition programs require students to show proficiency in a specific performing or visual art.

Screened: Language Programs- These programs include Bilingual, Dual Language, and International schools.
