Teen Programs provide New York City teens with the opportunity to explore art making, engage with the contemporary art world and artists, and connect with other teens from across the city. Since 1909, The School Art League has supported the visual arts education of New York City public high school students through programs and services that advance their knowledge and skill:
• The Fall and Spring Saturday Art Career Workshops at The One Club for Creativity introducing students to career opportunities in the arts
• Scholarships and awards to graduating students
• Presentation of historical bronze medals to sophomores, juniors, and seniors for excellence in artistic achievement
• Artists-led workshops at The Society of Illustrators
• Applications and instructions for medals, awards and scholarships will be sent to teachers in Spring 2024.
• Applications for the workshops at The Society of Illustrators will be sent as they occur throughout the year.

Since 1999, the Dedalus Foundation has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors from New York City public high schools who plan to attend college and have shown excellence in fine art. The Foundation provides up to 7 fine arts scholarships of $2,000 each to graduating seniors who intend to further their studies in fine arts or art history at an accredited college, university, or art school. The scholarship money must be used for school expenses.
NOTE: The application and instructions will be sent to all high school visual arts teachers in Spring 2024. Students should check with their teachers.
