Born and raised in New York City, David Huang has an extensive background in Afro-Latin dance and Latin Percussion. David was introduced to Salsa and Mambo over a decade ago and began training in Afro-Latin dance with dance luminary Frankie Martinez in 2008. David's training with Frankie led him to a greater curiosity and appreciation of Latin rhythms, he began his study of Latin Percussion in 2011 under famed Fania All-Stars Latin Percussionist Louis Bauzo. Professionally, David is a New York City public school dance teacher who holds a Master's degree in Childhood Education from New York University and has been teaching Salsa and other forms of dance to adults and children since 2008.
Andrew Jannetti, MA is based in NYC and has a distinguished career as a choreographer, dancer, educator and producer. He has presented choreography at DTW, St. Marks Danspace, Gibney Arts, 92nd Street Y, Alvin Ailey Center, The Duke, DIA, Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX), Cunningham, DUMBO Dance Festival, CoolNY Festival, ADG Festival, NY International Dance Festival, the Edinburgh Festival, and other venues throughout the U.S. and Europe. Andrew works full time as a Pre-K thru Grade 5 Dance Educator for the NYC Department of Education, part time at BAX as the Director of their school breaks programs, and as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers, New Brunswick and St. Francis College in Brooklyn. He was President of the NYS Dance Educators Association and recently joined the Advisory Board of the National Dance Education Organization. He was awarded a BAXten award, aPASEtter award, the Dani Nikas Excellence in Teaching Award and numerous grants for his choreography.
Iris Wilson’s choreography has been presented in the first Black National Dance Festival in Vienna Austria, the International Dance Festival in Costa Rica, the Apollo Theater in NYC, the Late Nite Artist series at the Pillsbury Theater in Minneapolis and Dance Africa Denver, among others. She currently travels to Santiago De Cuba to teach and perform with Santiago’s premier dance company Cutumba and the School of Arts. Iris has recorded with Stephen Marley singing background on his latest release “Made In Africa” and has performed nationally and internationally with various dance companies such as Opus Dance Theater Inc, Haiti Dancsco, Dinizulu African Dancers and Drummers, and KaNu Dance Theater.
