Engaging with literacy is a social act, so building a culture of literacy is paramount to the success of any school or district literacy effort. At MSQI, we host community events across the year such as author visits, MSQI coordinator meetings, and educator roundtables. We have also developed unique community-wide programs that center student voice, build teacher and leader literacy knowledge, and provide access to a large volume of diverse texts.
