"Never give up. Sometimes it’s hard to care for a child being a child/ teen yourself . A lot of people might try to break your spirit and lead you down the harsh path of criticism. Your children, your self, and your work/ school should be the only thing important to you. It’s okay to get a GED it’s okay to get a high school diploma, which ever is best for you. It’s not about everyone else it’s about you. If you can’t pick yourself up how are you going to show positivity to your child. Strive for what’s best now. You can always strive for better in the future." ~Kiarra Browne
"I was studying when I found out that I was pregnant. I continued going to school until I was 8 months and then stopped to give birth and recover. I said to myself I want to give another life to my son, and I just don't want to stop here so I tried to continue my studies even though it was hard, but I never gave up. Then I found the LYFE Program and my life changed. I attended LYFE at Downtown Brooklyn from 20I6-2018. I worked hard and got my GED. I want to finish my education to continue studying and go to college and demonstrate to my son that no matter what, you should never give up. Education is very important and every time I talked to Ms. Nina I always got motivated. Now I am working as a substitute paraprofessional in the LYFE Program and eventually would love to be a teacher with LYFE. I want my both kids to be so proud of me for continuing my studies. Thank you everyone thank you Ms. Nina and the rest of the team that gave so much love to us ❤️
LYFE is the best! Without LYFE I wouldn't be able to finish my education. LYFE has taught me and my son a lot. My son got so in love with the teachers he was with as a toddler, now he is 8 years old and still remembers his LYFE teacher.
The LYFE program and the people who work there are a blessing 🙏 I was able to graduate thanks to this wonderful program! ❤ I am beyond grateful . Thank you LYFE 😊 THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOU. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT 🙏.Do not think too much about it, you have the opportunity to continue and NEVER GIVE UP, you won’t regret it." ~ Berenice Apolonio Angel
