Welcome Parents!
Over the past couple of months we have been REALLY BUSY working on all sorts of CS projects!
Our Girls Who Code Club is up and running and they are currently working on the first project to be streamed on our school TV's! Please stay tuned for that!
Grades K-2: Have been exploring basic CS concepts such as planning, sequencing, debugging and collaboration through STEM, Go and Code Mouse. They have done a great job working together to reach goals.
Grades 3 and 4: Have worked on a variety of coding projects through Scratch, CS First as well as code.org with video game design.
Grade 5: Has worked on a series of projects including addressing cyberbullying, video game design and scratch projects that reflect impactful moments from shared readings.
Most classes learned how to publish and share their projects on both scratch as well as code.org and dropped links into google classrooms to allow their friends to try out and comment on their projects.
Two classes took it a step further and engaged in "Friendly Feedback" on google classroom. Their insight was well though out and students immediately took back to revise and edit their work using their friends' input.
Please look below to find links to their work!
Enjoy!
We work connected to a device like a Chromebook or an iPad to learn and practice Computer Science concepts.
We work on Computer Science concepts without devices and use pencil and paper to work our ideas out.
