The Library is located on the 3rd floor, in the front of the building in Room 305. We are open periods 2 through 9. It comprises a large main room, which is where the entire print collection is now housed. There is a computer designated for printing. There is a laptop cart with 30 chrome books, which are for student use in the library only. The main room can comfortably seat approximately 52 people.

The side room of the library is now a classroom, with two rows of parallel, interconnected tables. There are a total of 16 chairs on the outside of each row. There are spare chairs available, if needed. This classroom can be reserved by teachers and other staff through MS Bookings.

Programming

The library is abuzz with activities every day. On Mondays, students can create bookmarks and write book reviews to slip inside of books. On Tuesday, students can play board games and card games. On Wednesdays, students complete themed crossword puzzles and word searches for a small prize. On Thursdays, students can avail themselves of the drawing books from the libraries collection and hone their skills. On Fridays, students can color themed coloring pages to decorate the library or other offices around the school.

The Makerspace is also a space where students can get creative. We have two 3D printing machines and two sewing machines. The bins in the room are stocked with various supplies for different kinds of projects. Each month a different activity is posted in the Makerspace and library interns facilitate them.

Ms. Weaver - Librarian
Ms. Weaver - Librarian
After dedicating 13 years to shaping young minds in the English Language Arts classroom, Ms. Weaver has embarked on an exciting new chapter as a school librarian. This transition from ELA teacher to librarian is fueled by her passion for literacy and her desire to support students and fellow teachers in innovative ways. In her new role, Ms. Weaver is eager to nurture a vibrant reading culture within the school. She envisions the library as a hub of learning, curiosity, and collaboration. By curating diverse and engaging book collections, she hopes to inspire a love of reading in students of all ages. Ms. Weaver's goal is to make the library a place where students can explore their interests, discover new perspectives, and develop a lifelong passion for reading.

Ms. Jay - Library Aid
Ms. J has been working in schools for 10 years. She has a passion for helping students and being a mentor. She runs an Enemies to Lovers book club in the library 2 days a week.

Library Interns help keep the library running. They work during their off periods and their lunches to create and facilitate activities and manage library resources.
