Weekly Newsletter

June 4- June 7

Congratulations go out to Irelyn Gerow.  Irelyn is a senior in Mr. Wagler's Accounting course. All of Mr. Wagler's BMA and Accounting students work to achieve Microsoft Office certifications as part of their respective CTE curriculums.  BMA students take the certification test for PowerPoint, and Accounting students work to earn certification in Excel.  Microsoft Word is available as an extra credit assignment for anyone. Irelyn is the first student in any of Mr. Wagler's classes to earn all three certifications - PowerPoint, Excel and Word.  Additionally, Irelyn has also been recognized as the 2024 Accounting CTE Outstanding Student.  She has been an exemplary student this year, earning A's across both semesters of Accounting. Congratulations, Irelyn!

High School Robotics Celebrates a Successful Year

The Eagle ELite High School Robotics team celebrated the end of a successful year with their first ever open house.

This year the team was able to move out of their small workroom to a much larger workspace with a practice area.

The team successfully made it to round 2 in both of our competition weekends this season!

Our team alliance achieved the top score of the day in our St. Joseph competition.

At our Ann Arbor competition the team earned the much coveted Industrial Design Award.

So our open house was all about celebrating the good this year. School administration, Sponsors, New/Potential team members and local community businesses were invited to see our workspace, learn about our robotics team, and even try driving one of our 120 lb robots!

So, thank you to this year's sponsors: Summit, Armstrong, Big C Lumber, American Axle, and Meijer.

Thank you FEMA for giving our team a personalized tour to see robots in the workforce.

Also, thank you to those who have already begun to sponsor us for next year: Maydock family, Command Electric, and the Lions Club!

Without our sponsors, our team truly could not exist!

Students interested in joining the robotics team next year can ask Mrs. Lynch about it.

Businesses that would like to sponsor our team, should contact Karin Lynch at

488 - 7350, or lynchk@schoolcraftc.org

Summer Programs for Teens

Whether it’s an overnight pre-college program, a local day camp, or a sleepaway adventure experience, summer programs for teens are great for pursuing new interests, improving existing skills, and making new friends outside of the classroom.

On this page, we’ve collected and curated some of the best summer programs for students in middle and high school. These one-of-a-kind programs come in all shapes and sizes — some are academically focused, others are skills-based, and still others are similar to a traditional summer camp experience. However, all of these programs offer vital enrichment opportunities for teens to expand their horizons.
