Eagles Nest Food Drive:
The photo above is the scene at the Elementary School which was created for their annual food drive. The collection will go to the Schoolcraft Eagles Nest. Students have been challenged to meet the goal of 2,000 donated items. If met, Mr. Webster will dress as the Grinch for the day with a few other surprises up his sleeve to go with it.
The School is collecting items until Friday, December 13th!
A Reason to Celebrate!
The last month has brought an incredible amount of charity and generosity to the students and families of Schoolcraft Elementary School:
- 90 gifts were sent to the school from their Amazon Gift List! Gifts came from as far away as Florida!
- $1,400 in donations were made from our staff and community members for the purpose of supporting students and families this month.
- 4 bursting bags of donations came from the Dollar General in Schoolcraft to support Elementary students and families!
On behalf of the students, families and staff at the Elementary School, thank you for overwhelming us with your support and kindness this season. You've certainly made it very merry and bright!

Thursday Delayed Starts at Schoolcraft:
Upcoming Delayed Starts:
- Thursday, Dec. 12th
- Thursday, Jan. 9th
- Thursday, Jan. 16th
- Thursday, Jan. 23rd
- Thursday, Jan. 30th
What are delayed starts and why does Schoolcraft have them?
Delayed starts allow our students to arrive for a 8:45 am start* which provides our teachers time to collaborate professionally to make informed instructional plans for every student in our building together. This is a powerful time for our staff that ensures that every student's instructional needs are being individually planned for by a group of dedicated Eagle Educators!
*Students can arrive as normal between 7:45-8:00 on delayed starts and participate in activities in the gymnasium OR can arrive "delayed" between 8:40-8:45 and still be considered on time (not tardy).
The Elementary School is excited to have created "RAH RAH Bags" (Read At Home) . These were created to ensure that our students always have access to "level appropriate" books to read. "RAH RAH Bags" are designed to support students that are reading below grade. These bags will start to find their way home with students at the end of the month. If you have questions about child's level or the text they are reading please don't hesitate to contact your teacher.
