OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.

7th Grade ELA News
This week the 7th grade ELA students worked on the writing process. Students learned the importance of knowing what you are talking about prior to writing when they were challenged to write a descriptive paragraph on the Dugong, Saolo, Vaquita, or the Kakapo. This activity was followed with the next step in the writing process: Organizing what you know. Students worked in groups to identify what they knew about pasta, they then organized their thoughts and chose the best options for their descriptive paragraph. They discovered that knowing what they are talking about and being intentional when organizing their ideas makes writing easier and less stressful!
