EFA 8th Grade Field Trip
8th graders went to see Crawlspace Eviction Improv through Education for the Arts this week at Comstock Community Auditorium. The experience included a chance to interact on stage with the Improv troupe. Three students, Sydney Williams, Cason Lipscomb, and Kemper Reva, were chosen to go on stage, along with Ms. Mein. Weaving the arts into ELA is a creative way to get our kiddos engaged with an alternative form of self-expression. The theme of the improv work of art included problem-solving and on-your-feet action. Last week, students attended Sole Defined at Miller Auditorium which is a percussive, tap group out of Washington DC that wowed us with their rhythm and energy! The poetry presentations on Wednesday and Thursday might be over the top next week after all of this theater work!! 8th grade is fortunate to be involved in Education for the Arts this year!!
