Eagle Elite Robotics Team
The Eagle Elite Robotics Team Welcomes back last year's team members and our new members this year. We have a 71% increase in student members this year, as well as a new mentor!
In the design, and fabrication of our competition robot and event props we use a variety of different tools. Therefore there is a mandatory safety training meeting on Saturday, December 9th from 9 am to noon at Sampley's mechanics barn. Mrs. Lynch will contact members with more details. Parents/guardians, mentors and students will need to complete the FIRST robotics forms online at firstinspires.com - Students/families and mentors can use the quick links in the Robotics Google Classroom.
This year's FIRST robotics challenge is called Crescendo, which means: the loudest point reached in a gradually increasing sound.
We are excited for the challenge reveal! The mandatory reveal/kickoff date meeting will be on Saturday, January 6th. See your robotics newsletter in the Robotics Google Classroom for more details.
Any students that want to participate must fill out a waiver form and pay a $10 fee to play and coach. Click HERE to print the waiver, or pick one up in the main office.

7th Grade Science News
7th-grade science students have been working on an Engineering Internship for the last few weeks. The goal was to create, with their partner, an improved tsunami warning system for the people of Sri Lanka. They had 3 criteria to follow. Their warning system must give people the greatest amount of time to move to safety, have few or no false alarms, and be low in cost. Once completed and proposals were written, they had to present and pitch their optimal design. As they presented, they practiced being effective communicators by speaking, presenting, and listening to understand.
Some quotes from presentations-
This reminds me of what my dad does.-
I'm a good salesperson.- I would like a job like this. I like making logos and slogans.
