Walkers/Bike Riders Safe Routes During Construction
As the grounds in and around the 7-12 Campus are undergoing construction and renovation projects, we want to make sure our students walking to and from school are adjusting their walking and biking routes appropriately. Please note the following areas and alternative walking and biking routes:
The crosswalk on Lyons Street next to the bus loop is shut down for the duration of the Roy Davis construction project.
Walkers and bikers should use designated crosswalks, preferably entering the building on the east side in order to avoid the previous crosswalk that dead-ends into the Student Parking Lot on the west side of campus.
All walkers and bikers traveling between the 7-12 Campus and the PreK-6 buildings should cross at the 4-way stop at Lyons and 14th Street.
Due to the Roy Davis renovation, students must remain outside of the Construction fencing.
Please make sure you exercise caution when crossing all roadways, checking all directions for traffic.
Thank you for reviewing these walking and biking routes with our 7-12 kids.
Robotics Team Field Trip
Last week the High School Robotics team had the opportunity to visit another one of their sponsors. This time the team had a tour of the Summit Polymers facility in Vicksburg, followed by a round table discussion. We got to see robots in action in the real work world and gather ideas for our future robotics designs. We learned about the many pick-up mechanisms, safety mechanisms, and adaptations of the company's robots. We had sneak peeks of automatic parts that will be used in future models of vehicles. Therefore, pictures were not allowed in the factory - but we did get to take a picture in the meeting room! Thank you Summit Polymers for your support and for letting us tour your facilities.
Last week in Spanish 1
Students in Spanish 1 learned about la Tomatina. Every year, in Buñol Spain, on the last Wednesday of August, there is a massive tomato fight! Around 40,000 people crowd the streets as millions of tomatoes are brought in for the world's biggest food fight. We celebrated a much cleaner version of the event!
The yearbook needs photos of the NHS Ceremony! If you have any that were taken that night, please send them to yearbook@schoolcraftcs.org
Lost and Found!
Last Chance!
Please have your child look over the table and rack for anything that belongs to them. We have winter coats, clothing, water bottles, lunch boxes, and more! Items not picked up by the end of the school year WILL BE DONATED!

So, the MI Student Aid team is reaching out to provide resources to help ensure that no senior misses out on money to help them pay for college!
Students and their families are encouraged to watch our brief Introduction to FAFSA video and review the resources our friends at Federal Student Aid have put together to help students complete the FAFSA.

What is Pathfinder and how do I use it?
To address the need to increase the number of Michigan residents with high-quality, in-demand degrees and credentials, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity’s Office of Employment and Training (LEO-E&T) is proud to share the creation of an online career planning tool.
The tool provides information to students, their parents, and guidance staff to make informed choices about educational and career options, as well as to help with creation of educational development plans. This free tool uses current labor market information, longitudinal wage data, and other institutional data and metrics, allowing improved skills-matching to career paths and jobs.
Find out more about how to use this tool by visiting the Tutorials or reviewing the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

Volunteer Opportunity for Schoolcraft Little League
This coming Saturday, 6/3, Schoolcraft Little League has the privilege of hosting another "Fun for All" tournament. This time for our Majors- baseball/softball divisions & Junior- baseball division. Play will start at 9:00a with Major divisions hitting off of pitching machines. Tournament hosting provides great opportunities. In addition to home-field advantage, they allow us to showcase our beautiful facility and raise funds through our concessions.
With that said, all this fun and softball/baseball action takes participation and support from our many league player parents/guardians, families and the Eagle community. Remember, our league is 100% volunteer operated and needs collective support for the tournament to run smoothly.
We need volunteers in the following areas:
1- Concessions
2- Scorekeeping (press box behind backstop)
3- Scoreboard operator (press box behind backstop via wireless operator)
4- Umpiring

Also, quick reminder regarding a few league housekeeping items:
1- Leave a field, dugout, fence perimeter cleaner than when you found it.
2- After games, ask a coach if you can help out with post-game field maintenance to ensure rough spots are racked out and dirt/gravel gets racked off the grass and back into the dirt areas of fields to prevent unsafe lips from forming and the grass from being killed.
Please share this communication with family and friends. Thank you for your active participation in Schoolcraft Little League.
