What are the social sciences and humanities all about?
The curriculum is multifaceted in subject matter that integrates the learning of parenting, food and nutrition, human growth and development, equity, relationships, fashion, well-being, family dynamics and literacy into all subject areas.
Our courses offer hands on practical experiences and challenge students to apply these skills to their own personal growth and success after graduation. Students will explore various topics and demonstrate their knowledge and understanding in diverse ways.
Culturally responsive curriculum connections and lessons creates an inclusive learning environment for all of our students.
Mental health and well-being is embedded in all of our courses that contribute to positive relationships and the development of healthy coping mechanisms.
It provides opportunities for students to develop transferable skills that will support them in making decisions in their future as contributing members of society.
Our goal is to provide a learning environment for all students to thrive and demonstrate their learning.

This subject area allows so many individuals to incorporate daily life skills that are consistently dynamic, effective, and relate to everyday challenges that require individuals to use these skills to adapt in an environment of constant change.
Students need to be able to communicate effectively, show an ability to work in team settings in a technology enhanced environment, and demonstrate their creative abilities, all while exhibiting resilience and a solid work ethic.
