Mrs. Tackmann

5th Grade Writing/Language/Science Teacher

My name is Aubrey Tackmann. This is my fourth year of teaching 5th grade; second year at SCCMS!

I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Winona State University in Criminal Justice-Corrections and Psychology. After graduating from college I started working as a SPED paraprofessional and found a love for education! From there, I continued working as a para for the following five years, all the the while going back to school to earn my Master's Degree in Education from UW-River Falls. I knew I had found what I was meant to do with my life- TEACH!

My husband is a science teacher at SCC High School and we keep busy with our three kiddos and two dogs.

I am thrilled to get the opportunity to work with your child this school year and tap into their inner-writer! In addition to writing papers, we will also learn different components of language, as well as spelling. There is nothing I enjoy more than when students "find their voice" as a writer. It truly is a privilege! In addition to writing, I also have the privilege of teaching science this year. Our journey in science will travel through topics such as: matter, ecosystems, solar systems, and (at end of the school year) our annual Science Fair!!!

Please contact me with any questions that you may have as the school year rolls on!

Happy school year!
