CREDIT: Two Credits
COURSE LENGTH: Full Year
GRADE LEVEL: 11, 12
PREREQUISITE: PHYSICAL SCIENCE
Content Description: The course is designed to be the equivalent of the general chemistry course usually taken during the first year of college. Emphasis is on chemical calculations and the mathematical formulation of principals. Laboratory work will be much more extensive and detailed than in Chemistry I. An introduction to organic chemistry is included. This is intended to be a college prep course and could be taken concurrently with Chemistry I with teacher approval.

COURSE LENGTH: Full Year
GRADE LEVEL: 11, 12
PREREQUISITE: Physical Science and Geometry
Content Description:
This course is an extension of Physics I for those who are interested in applying physics with understanding of our universe and how it works. Topics covered will include college-preparatory understanding of 2-D kinematics, circular motion, waves, light, sound, electricity, magnetism and modern physics (relativity).
Advanced Physics is recommended for students planning to study any field of physical science in college.
GRADE LEVEL: 9, 10, 11, 12
COURSE LENGTH: Full Year
PREREQUISITE: No prerequisites
Content Description:
The course is designed for students who are planning on going to college to study in the medical field, coaching, biology, or other fields where knowledge of the human body would be useful. This course is not recommended for students who have struggled in science or who have earned a grade below a “C” in General Biology or Biology. Study begins at the chemical and cell level and advances to the tissue, organ and organ system level, showing the interrelationships between them and how their function relates to the body as a whole. The majority of this course involves the in-depth study of the skeletal, muscular, and nervous system. NOTE: Human Anatomy & Physiology I, II, and III MAY BE TAKEN IN ANY ORDER.
