RACE, PLACE, AND JUSTICE

The Department of Geography at Rutgers presents our 2018 MaGrann Conference

The Department of Geography at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is pleased to announce this year's MaGrann Conference on the theme Race, Place, and Justice. Some of the most compelling scholarship in Geography and related fields today combines understandings of the spatial dimensions of social justice with place-based dynamics of race. This year’s MaGrann Conference features interdisciplinary presentations by scholars, activists, and scholar-activists from Rutgers and other institutions whose work brings empirical examples together with interdisciplinary scholarship to address the intersections of race, place, and justice in diverse contexts throughout our world.

Conference events will take place at the Cook Student Center, Multipurpose Room C, 59 Biel Road, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
