About:

I'm a postdoctoral associate in Prof. Anand Sarwate's group at Rutgers University, NJ, USA. I'm also affiliated with DIMACS. Before that, I was a 5G wireless researcher in mm-Wave lab at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, Berlin, Germany.

I received my Ph.D. degree from Technische Universit├Ąt Berlin, and my M.sc. from Jacobs University Bremen.

Current Research:

I am interested in distributed machine learning, in particular, the communication aspects of distributed optimization problems involving machine learning. In addition to that, I'd like to study the privacy aspects of learning algorithms, mostly in the framework of differential privacy.

Previous Research:

I have been using signal processing and optimization tools for designing future wireless communication networks. In addition to that I have worked on information-theoretic secrecy for different network structures with strong secrecy criterion.
