Thank you for being a faithful giver to the ministries of State College Alliance Church through a recurring online gift. Your generosity fuels ministry in the church, our community, and around the world! We are in the process of transitioning between two online church management systems, so all recurring givers need to take a few simple steps to keep their gift active. The new system, Church Center, will provide more giving options and better access for givers to track and update their gifts, so we are confident that the end result will be positive for both the church and our givers.
If at any point in the process you need help, please send an email to giving@scalliancechurch.com. This address will be monitored by members of the church financial and information technology teams who can answer your questions or verify your updated giving as needed.
To ensure that you do not have two gifts active at the same time, we recommend that you first cancel your existing gift(s) in iConnect by following these steps:
Step 1: Log into our church database, iConnect, and access your "My Giving" page. You can get to this page by visiting statecollegecma.ccbchurch.com and clicking on Giving - My Giving along the left or by using the direct link below. If you have trouble accessing your iConnect account, please contact the church office at office@scalliancechurch.com or (814)237-7991.
Step 2: Click on SCHEDULES/HISTORY to bring up your recurring gift schedule:
Step 3: Click on the blue Cancel button to the right of your repeating gift.
Once your gift is cancelled in iConnect, you will need to set up one or more new gifts in the new system, Church Center:
Step 4: Log onto the Church Center using your web browser or by downloading the app to your mobile device using the links below. You can always find these links at scalliancechurch.com/churchcenter.
Step 5: Verify your account by entering your mobile phone number (preferred) or email address. You will then receive a text/email with a confirmation code.
Please use the same mobile number or email address you already have in your iConnect profile. This will help match your account between Church Center and iConnect. Contact the church office if you need help with this step.
Step 6: Set up your recurring gift to specific giving categories by selecting the amount, designation, and frequency. If you want to split your gift between multiple funds, press the "Add donation" button.
Note on Designated Funds
To streamline our online giving, we have removed some of the less commonly used designated funds that were previously listed on iConnect from the default list. Most of these have direct links available so you can continue to support them through your recurring online gift. Follow the links below to give to these funds:
Nittany Christian School (donate directly to NCS)
Step 7: Click the "Add payment method" button to enter your payment information, which can be a checking/savings account or credit card.
If you are using a credit card or debit card for the gift, a transaction fee of between 2-3% will be charged to the church. You can optionally select to cover the transaction fee by checking the box below the payment method.
A 0% transaction fee is charged for payments from a checking or savings account, so we encourage this when possible.
If you want to make any changes to your recurring gifts, make one-time gifts, or look up records of previous giving, log onto Church Center using the same links as above. Click on the "Give" button to see your giving history.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I need help? The church financial and IT teams are standing by to help each of you with this process. If you have any problems or questions, or just want to verify that you successfully transferred your gift, please send an email to giving@scalliancechurch.com and a member of the team will get back to you by email or phone to answer your questions.
How do I access my giving record and tax statements? As long as you have the same contact information in both iConnect (our church management system) and Church Center(the new system), your two accounts will be linked. Once the migration is complete, likely in early fall of 2025, your giving history for 2024 and 2025 will be migrated from iConnect to Church Center so you can access a single giving statement for the year.
What are the differences between a credit card gift and a bank transfer? While credit or debit card gifts can be easier to make and are welcome, there are advantages to using a bank account for your recurring gift. First, no transaction fees are charged on bank transfers, unlike credit or debit card transactions which incur a fee of 2-3%, so you know that your full gift is going to the ministry of the church. In addition, your bank account is less likely to expire than a credit card, so you don't have to worry about your recurring gift being unexpectedly cancelled. For these reasons, we advise all who are able to use the bank transfer option rather than a credit card.
Why are we making this change? Ultimately, we believe that Church Center will provide a better overall experience for church members, staff, and leaders than iConnect. Tools in areas like communication, group management, kids check-in, and finances will be more flexible and user friendly. Online fees for credit card transactions will also be lower, so more of your donation will be used to fund the ministries of the church. While we understand that migrating your profile information and online giving requires some effort, we believe the end result will be a better online community for State College Alliance Church.
