Answer these questions after you have listened to both videos:
What instruments are being played in the videos?
Which version did you enjoy more? 2 cellos or the cello quartet (4 cellos)?
Why did you like that group better?
Which group sounded more intense? Why?
What do you think of each location for the videos?
Did the locations contribute to the feel of "pirates"?
Did you notice in the second video (with 4 cellos) what they are in? Is it really the inside of a ship? Or something else??? ;)

At the end of the story, discuss these questions:
Do you think music is powerful?
What does music do to you when you hear it or sing it?
What do you think music does to other people when you sing a song to them? (or play an instrument?)
First, find a spot where you have enough room to move around, with your scarf in hand.
When you are ready, click the first video and watch just the first 2 minutes. Repeat this 2-3 times until you feel comfortable and have the movements down. Don't forget, keep a steady beat!
When you feel confident, continue watching the video, starting at 2:00. Follow along with the movements while keeping a steady beat. Repeat this 2-3 times.
Do you think you can do it without the model? Click on the second video to try it with just the music.
Wrap up this piece by asking someone to record you dancing to the music with the scarf. You can email it to me at sprykhitko@sbunified.org. I'd love to watch you keep a steady beat!
Keep practicing our Patriotic song - You're a Grand Old Flag: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hnu1HKygBMQ
