Students whose parents opted in on Aeries during school registration now have a Student Success Card (SSC).
To find out if you have an SSC click this link: Do I have an SSC card?
SSC card number is 21447000+ID number. Do not include the + symbol.
The pin number is (usually) the last four digits of parent cell number.
Students with SSC cards can check out up to 3 print library books and access all of SBPL's digital resources.

Students who do not have an SSC (and are 13 or older) can still apply for (and receive immediately) a library ecard with parent or guardian permission. This option works for students with a Santa Barbara zipcode.
Students who do not have an SSC (and are 13 or older) can still apply for (and receive immediately) a temporary library card. You can pick up your permanent library card when you visit the Goleta Public Library.
Once you have a library card, download two apps: Hoopla and Libby. Both are available in SelfService and in the app store.
With the Hoopla app, you can stream movies, TV shows, music, eBooks, audio books, and comic books. You may borrow up to 10 items per month.
To sign up for Hoopla you need a library card number and an email address. A personal email is recommended so you can retrieve a forgotten password and/or get notifications about books on hold.
