Evaluating Web Resources

When you search on the web, you can't trust all of the information you find. The CRAAP Test is a list of questions to help you decide if information is credible and reliable.

• Currency: When was the information published?
• Relevance: Is the information related and relevant to your topic and audience?
• Authority: Who are the authors and what are their credentials?
• Accuracy: Is it accurate? Can you verify the claims? Is there a bibliography or works cited?
• Purpose: What is the purpose? Is there a bias?
