Snacks & Lunch
Snacks: Please send a snack and clear juice or water in a bag/container labeled with the word, "SNACK". Snacks should be packed separately (not in child's lunch bag/box) in order to help students learn routines.
Lunch: Student may send in a lunchbox/bag to school labeled with his/her name on it. Please send in a water/clear juice to be used all day. Lunches may also be purchased using the LUNCH FORM LINK

Birthday Celebrations
If you would like your child's birthday to be recognized in school, please refer to pages 18-19 in the SBSD Preschool Handbook . While food, balloons and goody bags are NOT permitted in school for birthday celebrations, your child may bring his/her favorite book from home to be read aloud in class. Please notify me one week in advance. Thank you!
ILLNESSES

ABSENCES
It's very important to log onto GENESIS to report your child's absence. Unreported absences are required by law to be checked. Please save the office time by logging onto this GENESIS link.
If you're having any trouble with Genesis, please call the Main Office to report your child's absence. The Main Office Telephone number is (732) 297 - 2488.
DISMISSAL CHANGES
If there is a change to your child's typical dismissal routine, please send your child to school with a completed Change of Dismissal Form. If you unexpectedly have to pick your child up early from school, please email me and notify the Main Office.

SEPTEMBER
We've had a great start!! Hopefully, you're looking at the photos on Seeesaw. This is a great way to SEE what your child is doing in school.
We are learning each other's names and how to play and share with friends. We are learning about routines and how to walk both in the classroom and in the halls. We're working hard on eating with forks/spoons and cleaning up our food when we're finished. These are ALL things you can work on at home!
OCTOBER
Welcome to October!!
This month will be filled with learning and fun. We are on a fast track for making props. Thank you for the cereal boxes! We will be making a pretend T.V., washer and dryer, car and other things to expand on our family theme.
We are going to learn about Fire safety, Fall, apples, pumpkins, leaves, nature.
NOVEMBER
Our family Unit will be ending after Thanksgiving. We will begin a new theme! This freshens up our toys and promotes excitement for new activities.

JANUARY
Restaurant theme is in full swing!
This month we will be working on different roles: baker, server, customer, cook.
We will be learning about Kindness to help understand Martin Luther King's Dream!
FEBRUARY
We will continue our restaurant theme by adding some cultural and ethnic foods from around the world that represent our students in the class. The kids are already excited about the playtime with these materials!
