Contemporary Literature

Class Description

Contemporary Literature offers a glocal approach to literature. It explores the literature of the twentieth century to the present. Emphasis is placed on critical analysis skills. Contemporary issues and mature language may be encountered in the reading. Major selections include Into the Wild, Lilies of the Field and Code Name Verity. Poetry, plays, and films may also be utilized in order to create further understanding of points of view.
