Hi, I'm Jennie. My passion since I was 13 has always been to make people feel their best selves. In 2006 I started my journey as a Cosmetologist and started my first job as a booth renter in 2007. Everyday working had always been a pleasure but in 2015 I wanted to do more in this industry. I wanted to give back to the community, so I decided to get my Cosmetology Instructors license starting in 2015. Being a mom of two made it a challenge so I worked part time towards getting my instructor's license. Two years later and another baby I began my partnership with SHS spring semester of 2018 as well as opening my own salon, Studio J Beauty Lounge fall of 2018. My journey has been rewarding and I couldn't have done it without my support system. My family, my coworkers at the salon and SHS administration have been my WHY I have accomplished so much.

My focus is to give each individual student a place in cosmetology whether it's being an esthetician, nail technician, or a hair stylist. I want to motivate the students and give them an opportunity to see how rewarding it is to make someone feel beautiful and that there is success in our industry if you are truly passionate about your career path. In the years of teaching the impact and the thanks yous I've received from students and administration has pushed me and given me insight on how I can truly make a difference in just one persons life.
