The Basics

This is a six minute narrative short about a man meeting a young girl in line for concessions at the movies. The little girl confesses a personal connection to him because he looks like her dad before running off. The sadness quickly shifts however to laughter with the delightful twist ending. 

The Good News

I greatly enjoyed the surprise ending and clever story, as well as the mixed emotions I felt while watching. 

Bad News

I would have loved it if it was slightly longer and had more character development.

The Verdict

I rate “Candy Bar” 9/10. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a short, humorous and well-thought-out program.
