The Big Cheese is a true story, following two of the best American cheesemongers who are competing in Mondial du Fromage, also known as the Olympics of Cheese. Leading the team (Courtney and Sam) is Adam Moscowitz. This team is determined to make history, as the American team has never won a medal in the Mondial du Fromage, and other countries generally ridicule American cheese. This made their competition even tougher, so they traveled extensively in search of amazing mentoring. The documentary highlights the team’s highs and lows as they prepare for the competition's unknown challenges. We would recommend this movie to a more mature audience, for it contains language unsuitable for younger audiences.
A Lesson learned from this film is to never give up, even against all odds, and pursue your dreams even when people tell you that you can’t do it.
It was a well-directed film with heart and passion, with new perspectives on cheesemongers. Although it was not what we expected, it turned out really well!
We rate this film a 8/10.
