What is Padlet?

Padlet is an application to create an online bulletin board that you can use to display information for any topic. Easily create an account and build a new board. You can add images, links, videos, and more.

Directions

Go to www.padlet.com
Create an account using your MCSD Google account.
Click +Make a Padlet.

Select the format to display your Padlet.

Each option will display in a different way.

Wall-Brick-like layout
Canvas-Scatter, group, and connect
Stream-Top to bottom feed
Grid-Rows or boxes
Shelf-Stack in columns
Backchannel-ask questions
Map-add content to points on the map
Timeline-Horizontal line

Title

Enter a title for your Padlet.
Enter a description for your Padlet.
You can enter an icon as an option.
The address can be pushed out to Google Classroom or you can copy, paste, and share.

Posting

Attribution allows you to display names or hide names.
New post position allows you to select where new posts appear.
Comments allow posters to comment on other people's posts.
Reactions allow others to like other posts.

Content Filtering

Required Approval allow the owner to approve posts before they appear.
Filter Profanity will replace words with emojis.

Next Steps

Click Save and Close.
Share will appear in the top right corner. This allows you a variety of options to share your Padlet.
You are allowed 3 Padlet's at a time. Once a Padlet is complete, it can be downloaded as a PDF. After you delete, you can create a new Padlet.
