During this session, teachers will be given slides to use with their class. Teachers will be able to instruct on the basics such as how to carry your Chromebook, open your Chromebook, log into your Chromebook, and log into ClassLink. Additionally, we will discuss basic care for your Chromebook such as using a headset, and staying in your seat with a clean area. Teachers will also leave the session with best practice tips on how to incorporate Chromebook into instruction.
Google Forms is a great tool for collecting and organizing data quickly, but it is not a secure testing browser. In this session, we will discuss the question: How might we make a shift in our assessment practices to adjust to the technology rich environment? We will talk about strategies, tools, and what our big lessons were after a year of students taking tests at home.
Let’s Jam with Jamboard! This session will introduce you to Google Jamboard, a collaborative digital whiteboard. You will be able to practice different features and learn different ways for using it in the classroom.

With all of the knowledge you gained this school year, why not earn yourself a Digital Tools Certification?! During this hour, you will spend the time completing the tasks needed to complete a certification, such as Screencastify, Nearpod, or Common Sense Educator.
Note: Google Certification tests typically take more than one hour and require pre-registering through the Google Certification website. Although we would not recommend using this time completing the certification test, you are welcome to use this time to complete practice tasks to prepare for Google Certifications, or work through the application process.

Choice boards are an excellent way to help students meet the goals you set for them while also allowing them choices in the path they take to get there. Join this one hour session to learn more about why choice boards are an awesome teaching tool. You’ll also learn the basics of how to create them and will have time to begin making one to use in your classroom.
Module 1 is a pre-recorded broad overview of Benchmark Advance that can be accessed on our digital platform called Benchmark Universe. This module consists of short video clips explaining the program structure, topic text sets, instructional framework, resources to support responsive teaching, and provides an introduction to Benchmark Universe.
Note: Module 1 must be completed before Module 2 & 3.
Schoology offers integration with many of our digital applications, where students will be able to stay in Schoology to use the outside app. In this session, we will spend time connecting, logging into, and using outside apps within Schoology.

Learn how to create multiple choice, extended text, and side-by-side items and how to include passage resources to augment your interactions. Learn how to navigate Test Center to manage and administer your district's local assessments. Then, explore the student online testing experience and practice using the Online Administration tool for monitoring student test taking. Module 3 is a live virtual meeting with a Benchmark Education Literacy Consultant. Module 3 includes engaging-interactive activities to help participants better understand how to use the new Benchmark Advance resources in the classroom. This session will also support participants in planning the first day of instruction for Unit 1.
Notice that the sessions are differentiated either by K-2 or 3-5. You only need sign up for one.
