School starts in Remote Instruction August 13th
Hi educators,
I’m excited to announce that we now have Screencastify Unlimited - which provides unlimited recording and access to the easy-to-use web based editor 🎉! If you’re unfamiliar, Screencastify is the simplest tool for facilitating video-based learning and it’s super easy to get started.
📚Classroom Resource Page - They have an amazing resource page filled with ideas and inspiration for using video in your classroom.
A screencast is a video recording or transmission of the data displayed on the screen of a computer, typically with accompanying audio.
Purpose: Record yourself, or your computer screen, and share your video in Google Classroom
In the Tutorial Video you will learn how to:
Add the Chrome extension
Record what's on your screen
Use a webcam to record yourself
Save link to Google Drive
Share the link with your students
Great for: Teaching something new to your students or showing them how to do something specific. You can show slides or information on your screen, edit it directly or draw attention to certain features, and/or record yourself giving directions, demonstrating a problem, opening up a discussion, etc. Students can also use Screencastify to explain their thinking or demonstrate mastery on a topic. They can post the link to the video or add the video file to a Google Classroom assignment.
