● The SWSS Department has developed a streamlined referral process for all physical, mental health services and other community resources for families.
▪︎ All site administrators and staff refer families to school counselors.
▪︎ Counselors will then complete the Google Form athttps://bit.ly/WellnessReferral (unless an immediate need is presented, see adjustments in flowchart).
▪︎ SWSS Wellness Team will then contact parents, assess needs, complete the needed referrals for services.

Role & Responsibilities
● Counselor Role & Responsibilities during CoVid-19: SWSS, SBTA, and Site Counselors have developed guidelines for counselors at each school level.The guidelines have been divided into Essential and Optional tasks/activities that aligns to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) through the Multi-Tiered Multi-Domain System of Support (MTMDSS).You will see all 3 domains: Academic, College & Career, and Social-Emotional Supports through all 3 tiers of support.Counselors should attend the Google Classroom Educator Trainings available through Ed. Services.The SWSS Counseling Support Team has developed a Google Classroom with guidance and support for Counselors.Please be aware of the restrictions on Tier 2 groups due to confidentiality.Counselors may hold groups on topics such as: Study Skills, Financial aid, but should refrain from more sensitive topics in group settings, like grief and divorce. ● Social-Emotional Supports for Site Administrators:The SWSS team have developed "Grab & Go" presentation slides for site administrators.These activities can be done in as little as 5 minutes, during your staff MOU/Staff meeting times.Please note:This is an important piece in our collaboration with SBTA to meet the needs of our staff and the stressors we are all currently experiencing.You may find these resources on the ItsLearning Course: Getting Started with Distance Learning on the Administrator page.See screenshot below:

● Hazel Health - Upcoming Service Deployment:The SWSS Team is currently working with Hazel Health to support the physical needs of families.We will be providing information (as it is developed) to deploy at Wellness pilot sites for kick-off.We will also be looking at expanding the Hazel supports across the district for the remainder of the year.If you are interested in being considered for the roll-out, please email Colleen Williams.
