Sightreading
All sightreading will be facilitated through www.sightreadingfactory.com
This is a great opportunity to gain skills of sightreading prior to auditions in the future. The module is graded (meaning there are many different skill levels). We've outlined a basic progression below.
Here is a short video that can help you to understand the ins and outs of Sightreading Factory. If you're having trouble, give it a watch.
All Sightreading should be attempted on Challenge Mode. This will give you 30 seconds to study and prepare. Then a metronome will count off on measure and you will perform. Make sure you have screencastify up and running so that we can see the screen along with seeing you play in the webcam.
Level 1: Rhythm Only
Level 1 - 4/4 first, then random
Level 2 - 4/4 first, then random
Level 3 - 4/4 first, then random
Level 4 - 4/4 first, then random
Level 5 - 4/4 first, then random
Level 6 - 4/4 first, then random
Level 2: Instrument (Voice, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion) This Level counts when you've successfully performed Rhythm Only Level 3
Level 1 - 4/4 first, then random - Bb Major first, then random
Level 2 - 4/4 first, then random - Bb Major first, then random
Level 3 - 4/4 first, then random - Bb Major first, then random
Level 4 - 4/4 first, then random - Bb Major first, then random
Level 5 - 4/4 first, then random - Bb Major first, then random

Level 3: Piano This Level counts when you've successfully performed Instrument Level 3
