Mrs. Rebecca MacDougall

Mrs. MacDougall comes from a musical family and is passionate about teaching music. She has over 20 years of music teaching experience. She holds her Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance and her Master's Degree in Vocal Music Education. She was awarded a full scholarship to study music at the Chautauqua Institute of Music, won the Albany Musicians' Award and the Presidential Scholarship at her college. Her students have attended colleges such as Eastman School of Music, The Julliard Pre-College, Berklee, Harrt School of Music and many more. Her voice students excel at NYSSMA and have been chosen for several Area All State and All State Festivals. Her piano students are some of the finest in the area and have won several competitions. At Saugerties High School, she teaches Senior High Choir, Voice Classes I, II and III, Piano Classes I, II and III, Treble Ensemble and Ap/College Music Theory which is offered every other year. She hopes her students will always be life long learners of music and appreciate the arts.
