Art with Mrs. Koulovatos

TEACH KINDNESS

In learning to appreciate their peers' differences and individuality through artwork, students develop acceptance and kindness towards others.

TEACH PATIENCE

The process of creating artwork teaches even the most skilled artist how to be patient and to persevere through even the toughest parts of a project.

TEACH CREATIVITY

Above all art teaches creativity. Students are encouraged to tap into their creativity with every project we complete.

Art Club: Wednesdays from 3:15 to 4:15

Over 25 middle school students participate in art club, an afterschool program for dedicated and exceptional artists. Following the ‘Open Studio’ model, each artist is encouraged to create their own individual works of art with no parameters or guidelines. Each art club student works diligently on artwork inspired by nature, master-artists and everyday life. Art club provides a time for passionate students to enhance their skills and knowledge in an art-studio environment while being guided by their art teacher, Mrs. Koulovatos.
