Climate & Weather
A LETTER TO "YOUNG ROBERT"

The troposphere is one of the five layers of the atmosphere. It is the closest to the earth's surface. The troposphere is where most weather occurs. When weather trends in patterns of temperature, rainfall, and other forms of weather over time, usually in groups of 30 years, that can affect the general area, it is called climate. A majority of the troposphere is made up of nitrogen [80%], less than 1% of water vapor and co2, and about 19% oxygen.
Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a given time or place. Forms of weather such as storms or rain can move based on wind conditions, temperature, and more. Other forms of weather include precipitation [rain, snow, hail, sleet], sun, cyclones, blizzards, thunderstorms, hurricanes, and more.

Climate is the conditions of the atmosphere at a specific region. Microclimates exist typically in larger regions over a long period of time. Climates can be hot, warm, dry, cold, wet, or freezing.

Climate is like the average of weather in a certain area. If a majority of the area's temperature is 60 degrees or higher, than that climate would be considered warmer and could be humid subtropical or humid continental

Young Robert, my advice is to ride a bike more often, or even walk to the places you want to go. Don't rely on air conditioners, or heaters during the winter. Mostly because winters here might not be as cold as they are then. Reduce water waste, use renewable energy such as solar panels, and rethink trips on planes, trains, and cars.
