Nurse's Corner at Bluff
About Your School Nurse
Hello. My name is Ms. Debbie Spencer, RN, Bluff’s school nurse.
I bring to Bluff, 40 years of nursing experience, from the Acute care, Procedural & Camp setting. Those years have prepared me to take care of these special children.
A school nurse is more than someone who puts a band aid on a cut.
She Assists the family doctor in managing acute and chronic medical conditions so children can be in school learning. A school nurse is prepared for simple and life threatening emergencies. She teaches. She Comforts. She cares.
I am here to assist you if needed, all you have to do is ask. I may not have all the answers, but I will do my best to assist you to find those answers & help you keep your child healthy and in school, ready and eager to learn.
When I am not here at Bluff, my home life is busy with a grown son working & taking college classes, & 3 very active dogs. I am also taking classes working on my degree in Psychology. When I do find time I enjoy quilting and Straw Bale Gardening.
